Dr. Ethan Gentry is a chiropractor at Redlands Chiropractic, serving patients throughout Redlands, Yucaipa, and the surrounding communities. His approach to patient care is shaped by a diverse background in chiropractic, athletic training, sports medicine, and emergency services.
Dr. Gentry began his healthcare career in athletic training, earning his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Vanguard University of Southern California in 2009. During his training, he gained extensive hands-on experience working with athletes and athletic programs, accumulating more than 1,500 hours of training-room and field experience.
Wanting to expand his ability to diagnose and treat musculoskeletal conditions, Dr. Gentry continued his education at the Southern California University of Health Sciences, Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2013.
After graduating, Dr. Gentry founded and operated Live In Motion Chiropractic in Bakersfield, where he practiced for nearly seven years. He later practiced with The Joint Chiropractic before joining Redlands Chiropractic in 2021. His years in practice have given him experience caring for patients with a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions—from everyday neck and back pain to sports injuries and injuries related to automobile accidents.
A Background Beyond Chiropractic
One of the more unique aspects of Dr. Gentry’s background is his training and experience in emergency services. In 2018, he completed the Firefighter I Academy through Bakersfield College’s Olive Drive Fire Training Facility, including advanced training in Basic Life Support, fire control, low-angle rope rescue, confined-space awareness, and incident command.
He subsequently served with the Monrovia Fire Department Reserve and Ontario Fire Department. This experience, combined with his background in athletic training and chiropractic, has helped shape a practical and well-rounded understanding of injury, human movement, physical performance, and recovery.
Dr. Gentry was also a Certified Athletic Trainer and still currently a Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
Commitment to the Community
Community service has been an important part of Dr. Gentry’s life throughout his career. His past involvement has included work with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Specialized Services Bureau, American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, youth leadership programs, athletic organizations, and community events.
Today, Dr. Gentry continues to stay involved in the local community while focusing on providing individualized chiropractic care to the patients and families of Redlands, Yucaipa, and the surrounding Inland Empire.
His Approach to Patient Care
Dr. Gentry believes chiropractic care should go beyond simply treating where it hurts. His background in athletics, injury evaluation, emergency response, and chiropractic has taught him to look at how the entire body is functioning and to identify factors that may be contributing to a patient’s condition.
His goal is to provide patients with a clear understanding of their condition, practical treatment options, and a personalized plan designed to help them move better, recover from injury, reduce pain, and return to the activities that matter to them.
A Personal Connection to Redlands
Outside of the office, Dr. Gentry is proud to call Redlands home, where he lives with his family. He and his wife have two children and are excited to be welcoming their third. As both working in a local business and a father raising his family in the community, Dr. Gentry feels a strong personal connection to the people he serves.
For Dr. Gentry, practicing in Redlands is about more than providing chiropractic care—it is an opportunity to give back to the community his family is fortunate to be a part of. He values building lasting relationships with his patients and takes great pride in helping his neighbors, local families, athletes, and community members stay healthy and active.
“It’s incredibly rewarding to be able to raise my family in Redlands while also serving the same community we call home.” — Dr. Ethan Gentry D.C.
Dr. Gentry grew up in Ventura, and had his private practice in Bakersfield from 2013-2019. While in practice he treated many different musculoskeletal conditions, sports injuries, and worked with patients who were pregnant using Webster Technique. Dr. Gentry moved to Redlands in 2019 with his two kids and worked for the Ontario Fire Department as a firefighter EMT before returning to Chiropractic. Dr. Gentry has been with Redlands Chiropractic since September 2021.
Outside of the office Dr. Gentry enjoys spending time with his two kids, skiing, and spending time outdoors.
